Detection Kit for Novel Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) RNA (PCR-Flourescence Probing)

Intended Use:

This kit is used for the in vitro qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2 ORF1ab gene, and N gene in nasopharyngeal swabs, sputum, and alveolar lavage fluid samples of novel coronavirus-infected suspected pneumonia cases, and others to be confirmed or identified with novel coronavirus infection, thus supporting clinical diagnosis.

  • This kit is based on a real-time flourescent PCR platform, using RNA reverse transcription reaction, polymerase chain reaction and Taqman probe technology, and targeting the highly conserved regions in the ORFlab gene and N gene of the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV2). The specific primers and probes are designed for these target sites. The target sequence is amplified by PCR using specific primers. The taqman probe bound to the template is cleaved by the Taq enzyme (5'-> 3' exonuclease activity) The fluorophone is separated from the quenching group to generate and accumulate flourescence signals. According to the relationship between the flourescence signal and the number of amplification cycles, a real-time amplification curve can be obtained, thereby realizing the detection of the SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid. This kit contains dUTP and UDG enzymes to prevent contamination.
